Limits of Continuity.
Sample of Visual Arts Held every year through the Youth Service, within the Program 'Culturaquí’. She can attend Asturian young artists or residents of the Principality of Asturias, or second degree descendants of Asturian emigrants, whose age did not exceed 35 years.
They were able to attend all kinds of artistic: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, facilities, videoinstallations, etc.. Topic, technique and materials were free choice of the artist.
The jury had among its members art critics, curators and other renowned personalities in our region, linked to the world of visual arts: Benjamin Weil, Chief Commissioner of Labor Center for Art and Industrial Creation, Cuesta Crabiffosse Francisco art critic and curator, Luis Feás-art critic and curator-; Antonio Alonso de la Torre, professor and curator and gallery Adriana Adriana Suarez-Suarez. He selected the 6 winners from 57 proposals received.
In the words of Benjamin Weil, curator of this exhibition, “whole, the works presented form a fairly coherent group show while still maintaining a strong individual presence.
As so fascinating to see how collective works feed off each other and watch the dialogue that emerges from their coexistence within the same space, enriching our understanding of each. Boards, parts suggest the wealth and power of a generation of artists who know how to 'remix’ all kinds of references to create pieces full of intelligence and beauty”.
” Limits of Continuity ” is the title of my proposal, a facility that brings together a number of pieces made with engraved graphics, drawing, ink and collage on paper. A reflection on the limits and continuity through abstract drawing that occurs through physical space exhibition, extending beyond the role and even the wall itself born. Support limits, stroke continuity, the present as a trace and the evolution of the creative process interconnections are related by. A visual recorrido, from small to big or big to the minimum with meeting different planes in space, contemplation of a reality.Return
